Covid-19

The conference committee is planning for this year’s conference to take place as a hybrid conference - in person and online.  We will keep you informed of any changes or updates as these occur.  All conference decisions are made with the well-being of all attendees as the main consideration.

The Conference organising committee are working closely with the venue (Te Papa) and suppliers to implement a COVID-safe event plan, to protect the health and safety of attendees, staff, suppliers and our communities.

We encourage all delegates to read the Government COVID guidance to help keep us all safe.

COVID-safe event practices include:

  • Physical distancing (1m)

  • Mask wearing

  • Hand-hygiene

  • COVID-safe food service

  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitation

  • QR code scanning and contact tracing

If NZ changes to the traffic light system prior to conference then the venue (Te Papa) will have a requirement for all visitors to show proof of vaccination.

We encourage you to check restrictions for your local area closer to the conference date to ensure you understand any travel restrictions and/or health directives that may apply.

Delegates can:

  • Swap from in person registration to virtual – fee difference will be refunded

  • Swap from virtual registration to in person  – fee difference will be invoiced

We encourage delegates to make a decision on physical attendance by 16 November at latest, to assist with in-person conference planning.

If a delegate decides to cancel in full then usual cancellation fees apply.

If the rules for Wellington change so that the in-person conference cannot go ahead, delegates will be transferred to a virtual registration and any fee difference will be refunded.

We appreciate your patience in these uncertain times and will keep in touch with any new information as it comes to our notice.

Let’s all keep working towards an in-person conference, but be reassured that we have a plan in place for every Alert Level should things change.

Stay safe and be kind.

Kia kaha,

The conference committee
